Le Grand Joux Lodge and Spa opened its doors last winter; a renovated old auberge this chalet does luxury with a twist, mixing old with new and vintage with modern. The old wooden building has an in house spa on the garden level which includes a spa pool, steam room, outdoor sauna, and outdoor hot tub. The spa also includes an in house therapist, an alpha lounger and dry flotation bath; perfect for the full spa experience. The ground floor has an open plan lounge and dining area with an open fire and luxury sofas to sink into after a day on the slopes. With an entertainment system with a huge television, wii and kindle library children will be entertained during the winter nights. Just round the corner from the living space is the long dining room which can seat up to 14 and is perfect for lively dinner parties. The long wooden bar (a feature of the old auberge) with a huge selection of spirits and cocktails will ensure that glass is definitely half full. A Michelin star chef tops off the entire experience who will ensure that your stay is a mixture of delicious mealtime memories. From the moment you are woken in the morning with a cup of coffee to the last digestif before bed, the five star service you receive from the team at Le Grand Joux is second to none.
On the upper floor are five en suite luxury bedrooms; decked out with fur and luxury materials, complete with comfortable mattresses to sink into. One thing is clear; these bedrooms were decorated with the highest of five star hotels in mind; each room has a different theme and is decorated to reflect the environment that Le Grand Joux is situated in. The lodge is incredibly eco friendly; from the solar panels on the roof to the mountain spring water used in the pool; everything is well thought out, environmentally friendly and completed with a touch of luxury.
